Cartagena: World Heritage Site, which keeps the secrets of history on its walls, on its balconies and on its narrow stone paths that, inspired Gabriel García Márquez, Nobel Prize for Literature.

Activity Description

DAY 1 –MEDELLÍN

Welcome to Medellín, known as the city of the eternal spring. Reception and transfer from International Airport Rio Negro to the hotel of your choice. Overnight.

DAY 2 - MEDELLÍN (Visit to the City)

Breakfast. Come and visit the capital of Antioquia, the city of eternal spring, a land of cheerful, friendly, and good-humored people with deep-rooted customs; impressive green landscapes to its surroundings, and beautiful sunsets that make this city the ideal destination. A representative of Panamericana de Viajes DMC will contact you at your hotel to start a panoramic tour where you will appreciate some touristic places of Medellín, such as El Poblado neighborhood, the financial, hotel, and commercial center. The Nutibara Hill at the top of which is a replica of a typical Antioquia village, The Botanical Garden, The Explora Park, The Park of Desires, The Barefoot Park, The Metropolitan Cathedral, and Botero Square where 23 outdoor bronze sculptures by Colombian master Fernando Botero are exhibited. In addition, we will enjoy a tour of our massive metro public transport system. At the end, you will return to your hotel. Overnight.

This tour includes Transport, tour guide, and visit to Pueblito Paisa, walk at Botero Square, metro, and Metrocable.

Schedule:8:30 to 9:00a.m.

DAY 3 -MEDELLÍN / CARTAGENA

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport as scheduled, to take a flight to Cartagena (Flight Ticket is not included). Welcome to Cartagena, known as "El Corralito de piedra”. Reception and transfer from International Airport of Cartagena to the hotel of your choice. Overnight

DAY 4 -CARTAGENA (CityTour)

Breakfast. At the agree time, one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour around Cartagena de Indias. The tour starts at the modern neighborhoods of Boca grande and Manga, where you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century. Then, we will visit the Castle where the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, "El Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas”. At the end, we will walk around the historic downtown, visiting the San Pedro Claver Church and then the Emerald museum. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Notes: It includes entry to Castillo de San Felipe, San Pedro Claver Church and Emerald Museum.

Duration: about 3½ hrs. Departures from Monday to Friday at 14:00 hrs, Saturday, Sunday sand National holidays at 09:00hrs.

DAY 5 - CARTAGENA

Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy the magical realism of the city or do one of our optional activities suggest for this program. Overnight.

DAY 6 - CARTAGENA

Breakfast. Last day before return home, make sure you bring the best memories. Pick-up and transfer to the airport as scheduled to take a flight to reach the next city or your final destination.
