DAY 1 / SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Santiago de Chile
Santiago, founded by the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Valdivia in 1541 on the banks of Mapocho River, is the capital of Chile. Ranked as a leading city in Latin America, it concentrates the economic and administrative activities of the country and is home to Chile´s largest percentage of population. The city is surrounded by the main wine valleys, with wineries that produce and export high-quality wines worldwide. To the east and across the majestic Andes Range, travelers can visit the city of Mendoza in Argentina.

During this tour around the capital, you will get to know the historical, cultural and modern places of the city of Santiago. The tour begins at the Plaza de la Constitución, where the Government Palace is located, known as "La Moneda", the Plaza de Armas (Km. 0 of Chile), which is the core of the historical center of the capital, surrounded by historical buildings, such as the Cathedral of Santiago and the post office of Chile. Close to this historical center are the Central Market; the Museum of Fine Arts, the Lastarria neighborhood and the Santa Lucia hill, there are some stops planned. The tour continues along the most modern sector of the city, while the guide explains the most significant details of the city throughout its history.

DAY 2 / SANTIAGO DE CHILE

In the morning, tour to the city of Valparaíso (a journey of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes). Valparaíso is a port city on the coast of Chile which was declared a World Heritage Site. It is known as the jewel of the Pacific and has a captivating architecture with very narrow streets, steep funiculars, colorful houses, endless stairs, historical elevators and multiple viewpoints. Upon arrival in the city, its main hills will be visited, such as Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, where the fascinating history and extraordinary geography of the city will be learnt, characterized by the influx of European immigrants who left their mark on the architecture and cultural institutions, such as the National Congress. You will also visit the Muelle Prat, the Plaza Sotomayor and the Paseo "21 de Mayo", while watching the amazing murals on the walls of the narrow and picturesque streets. Then, you will continue to the city of Viña del Mar, known as the "Garden City", due to the well-kept gardens that some houses, buildings and public spaces in the city have. This place, despite its proximity, differs from Valparaíso, being more modern and sophisticated, which generates an interesting contrast. Viña del Mar is a seaside resort with outdoor sports, recreation and high-level gastronomy. And despite being modern, it also has numerous castles and old mansions of wealthy families from the last century. These were converted into museums or entertainment centers, such as the glamorous Municipal Casino.

The excursion begins from your Hotel, where we will begin our journey towards Isla Negra, a resort located on the central coast, its coastal edge is made up of three beaches: Las Conchitas, Pablo Neruda and Las Ágatas, it stands out for its strong waves and the dark-colored rocks that led the Poet Pablo Neruda to baptize it as Isla Negra. One of its main attractions is the house of the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, today converted into a house-museum, it is a jewel in itself due to its originality with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. Built following the specific canons of a ship, it treasures inside the wonders that the poet collected for decades in his last refuge. After this, we will leave for Pomaire, a town of pottery artisans famous in Chile for their clay crafts. Its famous ceramics are characterized by their reddish hue and smooth, shiny surface. In Pomaire, we will walk along the main street, where artisans display their pots, pans, rustic ornaments and decorative items. Then we will have free time for lunch (Not included). After the visit to Pomaire, we will return to your hotel in Santiago.

We will leave Santiago behind to explore the world-famous Colchagua Wine Valley, icon of red wine production in Chile, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Syrah. Our first stop will at Casa Silva Winery to enjoy a guided tour, including the patrimonial vineyards as well as the centenary wine cellar, which dates from the mid-19th century. The place preserves the architecture and traditions of the past, together with the technology of the present to produce quality wines. We will visit its tunnels, barrel and wine-making rooms, and a small museum of family cars. The tour ends with a wine tasting of wines coming from the different Terroirs that the family has in the most extreme sectors of the Colchagua Valley, Andes or Costa Fría. Afterwards we will continue towards Viu Manent Winery, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and then take a tour of the winery. We will start at the visit center 'La Llavería' and then proceed towards the Malbec Hall. We will also visit the variety garden, followed by a ride aboard a historic carriage along the vineyards. We will learn more about the viticultural works taking place during the season, and then enjoy a wine tasting. To finish our visit we will have some time to explore the wine, craft & souvenir shop. After this exciting day we will return to Santiago.

DAY  3 / SANTIAGO DE CHILE – CALAMA – SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

San Pedro de Atacama
Located in the heart of the Atacama Desert, San Pedro de Atacama is an oasis, a vital source of life in the driest desert of the world. It is the starting point to explore unique landscapes shaped by valleys, deserts, salt flats, geysers, lagoons and volcanoes. Thanks to its peculiar geography and singular weather conditions, Atacama has the clearest skies, and is therefore home to many international observatories, including ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) - one of the most important scientific facilities in the world.
Notes: San Pedro de Atacama is located 2.4000 meters above sea level.

Departure to the Moon Valley, located approximately 8km. away from San Pedro de Atacama. This place was declared a nature sanctuary and is part of Los Flamencos National Reserve, located within the Cordillera de la Sal. It has beautiful shapes and colours and we can walk observing a geological spectacle with sculptural shapes, similar to the lunar surface. Visit to the statues of salt "Las Tres Marías”, "Las Cavernas de Sal” and "Gran Duna”. Transfer to the Cordillera de la Sal, to enjoy the sunset in all its splendor. 
Return to the town of San Pedro de Atacama and arrival at approx 08:00PM.

DAY 4 / SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

Early in the morning, we will go to the Altiplanic Lagoons, "Miscanti” and "Miñique”, located 138km away from San Pedro de Atacama at 4,220m height. On the way to Toconao we will have a breathtaking view of the Licancábur volcano. During the tour we can observe native trees such as the Tamarugo and the Chañar and the contrast between the greenness of the Valle del Jere and the desert. Arriving at the town of Toconao we will visit the main square and the church. The houses built in volcanic stone (Liparita) are worth seeing. After that, we will ascend the Cordillera de los Andes to reach the Miscanti and Meñiques lagoons of intense blue colour and white coasts surrounded by imposing hills and volcanoes, creating a unique landscape. If there is no wind, we can observe a perfect mirror in its waters, photographing it is a must. These lagoons are protected by Los Flamencos National Reserve. We will then continue towards the Salar de Atacama, Chaxa Lagoon, where we can observe flamingos and other type of birds.

During this excursion we will travel south of San Pedro de Atacama, towards the Paso Sico border crossing. Our first stop will be for breakfast in a tamarugo forest. Then we will continue to Piedras Rojas, located at more than 4.000 meters above sea level. The landscape is covered by reddish stones that were formed by the oxidation of iron. Further in the background, the landscape allows us to appreciate the Salar de Aguas Calientes, which with its calypso color forms a true natural paradise. We will continue to enjoy our picnic-lunch, accompanied by a privileged view of the highlands. Our next visit will be the Altiplanic Lagoons. Here we can walk around to explore the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, with a beautiful view of the volcanoes. We will also visit the ‘Trópico de Capricornio’, we will make a brief stop to photograph, and receive information about this parallel of the southern hemisphere. Finally return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Departure to the petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas: the journey goes through one of the routes where pre-Columbian explorers left their mark of a valuable and mysterious cave art information. This excursion allows us to appreciate this valuable art developed and discovered near the Domeyko mountain range. The route will take us through beautiful landscapes in the Atacama Desert towards the mountain range up to approximately 3,200 meters above sea level. Then, we will take a detour to Rio Grande to visit the largest cave art center in the archaeological site of San Pedro de Atacama. The Petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas are a set of figures carved in the rock of volcanic ash with zoomorphic and anthropomorphic forms of great beauty, such as camelids, foxes and caravans made by camelid hunters with an approximate antiquity of 4,000 years. We will continue through a beautiful gorge with lots of vegetation that contrast with its desert environment. Along the route we might see llamas and wild donkeys. Arrival at the Rainbow Valley whose name comes from the innumerable colours of its hills, rich in minerals, and return to San Pedro de Atacama.

DAY 5 / SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA
FD Tatio Geysers (duration: 7 hours 30 minutes) - Shared Service - Entrance fees included
Departure from the hotel before sunrise to ascend to the Geysers del Tatio, located 97 km away from San Pedro and at 4,300m altitude. The journey begins with no sunlight, reaching the Chilean altiplano at approximately 06:45am, with temperatures below zero. In this place we will enjoy breakfast and then a guided walk along the geothermal fields, observing the impressive columns of steam (Geysers), fumaroles, hundreds of boiling water pools and high peaks surrounding us. This place offers a spectacular view of nature at dawn. Then, we will go to the thermal pools sector (water of 40Cº) where we will have the option of taking a bath. Afterwards, we return to San Pedro through the impressive landscape of the Andes Mountain range, and we will be able to see the Tocorpuri and Sairecahur volcanoes.  Arrival at San Pedro at approximately 12:00pm.
Important notes: 
*This Tour requires appropriate clothing for temperatures below zero, up to -5º in spring-summer season. Layered clothing is recommended.

HD Cejar, Ojos del Salar & Tebenquiche Lagoon (duration: 4 hours) - Shared Service - Entrance fees included
Departure towards Cejar Lagoon, located approximately 20 km away from San Pedro de Atacama. The high salt content of the lagoon will allow us to float in its calypso-coloured waters, a similar effect to that of the Dead Sea. Afterwards we will continue to Tebenquiche Lagoon, which has an impressive crust of salt as white as snow, hard and resistant. Here we will also be able to appreciate the Andean volcanoes reflected in this natural sanctuary. Our last visit, before returning to San Pedro, is the nearby Ojos del Salar, which has two profound pools of fresh water. 

DAY 6 / SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – CALAMA – SANTIAGO - PUNTA ARENAS – PUERTO NATALES

Punta Arenas
Located on the shores of the Strait of Magellan, Punta Arenas got famous because it was the main port of navigation between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean before the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. Nowadays, it is the most populous and cosmopolitan city in Chilean Patagonia, and gateway to Torres del Paine National Park, Tierra del Fuego and Antarctica. It is also a fantastic place for whale watching, spotting King and Magellan Penguins, visiting history and anthropology museums and even staying overnight at a typical Patagonian Estancia.

Puerto Natales
Puerto Natales is the main gate for travelers on their way to Torres del Paine National Park (located 1,5 hours north of the city), but also marks the connecting point to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier and city of El Calafate in Argentina. Located at the Ultima Esperanza Sound, it was originally inhabited by the Kawésqar and Aoniken people. Later on, European inmigrants settled in the city, and years later Chilean people, particularly from the Island of Chiloe, arrived here, mostly attracted by sheep breeding activity.

DAY 7 / PUERTO NATALES – TORRES DEL PAINE

Departure from our hotel to the Milodón cave located 24 kilometers north of Puerto Natales. Before reaching the cave, the access road passes through the "Silla del Diablo", a name that comes from the popular imagination given to a rocky structure with the appearance of an armchair which is said to have been the "seat" of the Mylodon and that the legend became "devil". At the end of the visit, we will continue along the new access road to the Torres del Paine National Park, being able to observe lagoons and mountain ranges along the way. Next, it is possible to admire the beautiful landscape that surrounds us from the Mirador del Lago Grey (view towards the Gray Glacier, the Macizo del Paine, and the Lago del Toro). A couple of kilometers further on it is possible to see the Cuernos del Paine, reaching the bifurcation that takes us to the Grey Lake area. In this sector, we can take a pleasant walk along the shore of Lake Grey and depending on the weather conditions, it is possible to access the viewpoint of the Grey Peninsula. After enjoying our lunch, we begin the second stage of our visit to Torres del Paine National Park, heading to the Salto Grande sector. We will visit the Mirador del Lago Nordenskjold and we will continue to enjoy various views on our undulating route that gradually brings us closer to the Laguna Amarga sector. After admiring this pleasant show, we will return to the city of Puerto Natales passing through the Mirador del Lago Sarmiento, arriving in the late afternoon, and bringing with us an unforgettable experience.
 
DAY 8 / PUERTO NATALES

During this excursion you will be in contact with the incredible Patagonian world of fjords, native flora and fauna. You will enjoy the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers while drinking a delicious whisky with ancient ice. 
Timing:
07:00 am: Presentation at 21 de Mayo office or in Puerto Bories (pier)
08:00 am: Navigation from Puerto Bories through the Ultima Esperanza Fjord towards Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. There are beautiful views of mountains, cascades, cattle ranches and Patagonian birds.
11:00 am: Sighting of the Balmaceda Glacier
11:30 am: Hike to the Serrano Glacier lookout point in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park.
01:00 pm: Return from Serrano Glacier to Estancia Perales (whisky appetizer with ancient ice on board).
02:00 pm: Lunch at Estancia Perales with a vegetarian alternative. 
04:30-05:30 pm: Arrival at Puerto Natales.
